How Afghanistan income tax works
Progressive tax applies to income after the supported deductions. Each band taxes only the portion inside it. These bands use the taxable income base.
| Taxable annual income | Rate |
|---|---|
| AFN 0 - 60,000 | 0% |
| AFN 60,000 - 150,000 | 2% |
| AFN 150,000 - 1,200,000 | 10% |
| AFN 1,200,000 - and above | 20% |
The displayed tax total covers Wage withholding tax. See the country assumptions for details.
