Rule version
Version KN-2026-v1, approved on 2026-10-19, last validated on 2026-10-19. Rules are effective from 2026-01-01 to 2026-12-31. Published rule versions cannot be edited; corrections are released as a new version.
Calculation assumptions
- There is no personal income tax: the Inland Revenue Department states that income tax on individuals was abolished in 1980.
- Social Security: employee 5% and employer 5% plus 1% employment injury, on monthly wages up to XCD 6,500.
- Housing and Social Development Levy on all wages: employee 3.5% up to XCD 6,500 a month, 10% from XCD 6,500 to 8,000 and 12% above; employer 3% of all wages. Employees earning up to XCD 27,040 a year pay no levy (2025 amendment), so the supported range starts above that.
- Employer cost also includes the 1% Severance Payment Fund contribution. One employer, the same wage every month.
