How Singapore income tax works
Progressive tax applies to income after the supported deductions and personal allowance. Each band taxes only the portion inside it. These bands use the taxable income base.
Earned Income Relief · under 55: SGD 1000. The result includes the actual allowed amount and the marginal effect of tapering.

Social contributions
The listed contributions are additional to the main tax schedule. Some countries include national-insurance premiums in that schedule; see the country assumptions to avoid double counting. Employer payments do not reduce employee take-home pay. Contribution thresholds and rounding use the period specified by the rule.
| Contribution | Rate / bands | Assessment |
|---|---|---|
| CPF · foreign employee exemption | 0% | Annual |
Deductions & supported scenarios
Supported payments: none yet. Tax deductibility and actual cash payments are tracked separately. Enter only the payment arrangements described in the questions and country limitations.
Where an optimisation scenario is supported, the engine recalculates tax and shows the trade-off in spendable income. Absence of a suggestion does not establish that no other legal relief exists.
